Day Zero Bali debuts in paradise with John Summit, Vintage Culture and Jan Blomqvist leading a massive April 17 lineup
Bali officially welcomed a new global festival chapter as Day Zero Bali made its highly anticipated debut on April 17 at GWK Cultural Park, transforming one of the island’s most iconic locations into a sunset-to-sunrise electronic music experience. Created by Damian Lazarus and brought to Bali in partnership with Savaya Group, the event marked the first Day Zero edition ever held on the island.
Known worldwide for blending music, culture, nature, and immersive production, Day Zero has built a reputation as one of the most unique events in electronic music. Its Bali expansion represented a major moment for Southeast Asia’s festival scene, bringing the globally respected brand to one of the world’s most desirable destinations.
A Lineup Built for a Historic Debut
Leading the April 17 edition were some of dance music’s biggest names, including John Summit, Vintage Culture, and Jan Blomqvist, alongside a deep supporting cast featuring Jamie Jones, Bonobo, Âme DJ, Damian Lazarus, Francis Mercier, Satori (Live) and more.
The lineup reflected Day Zero’s signature balance of underground credibility and global star power — mixing melodic journeys, house energy, live performance, and late-night club culture into one seamless experience.
Bali Meets the Day Zero Universe
Set inside the dramatic surroundings of Garuda Wisnu Kencana Cultural Park, the event gave attendees a rare combination of large-scale festival production and Bali’s spiritual, natural atmosphere. From sunset over the island to sunrise moments deep into the night, the setting elevated the experience far beyond a traditional festival.
Savaya Group, already known for shaping Bali nightlife through world-class hospitality and music events, played a key role in helping bring the Day Zero concept to life locally. Their partnership with Crosstown Rebels signaled a new level of international collaboration for Bali’s electronic music scene.
A New Destination Festival Standard
With global names, destination-level production, and a world-famous island as its backdrop, Day Zero Bali instantly positioned itself as one of the standout new festivals in Asia.
